Ans: A substance which has identical particles is called a pure substance. In pure substances, all particles are the same, having same sizes, same chemical and physical properties.
For example, the iron sheet is a pure substance. It contains only iron atoms. It has no other particles. So, we say that iron sheet is a pure substance.
Note: pure substance is made up of either one type of atoms or molecules or formula unit.

Ans: A substance which has non-identical particles is called a mixture. In mixture, there are different particles, having different sizes, different chemical and physical properties.
For example, consider a sugar solution. It is made out of sugar molecules and water molecules. Sugar molecules are different from water molecules. They also have different properties. So sugar solution is not a pure substance. It is a mixture.

2) In mixture, particles are physically combined together.
